Default Las Vegas Pool and Palm Trees

I wanted to start buying some palm trees or maybe even growing them here in Vegas, any ideas what type would be good to grow or even start an installation company. Ive been doing landscaping for some time but I knew thought there would be a market for people buying palm trees. I live off of Harmon Ave and South Jones rd in Spring Valley. If anyone has any ideas that could help me or advice, let me know!

Default Pool and palm tree reply

If you want to start growing some palm trees the first kind of palm tree that I would recommend to go ahead and start growing would be the King Palm tree. The king palm tree grows at a rate of 2.5 feet per year so that would be great if you want to grow your palms nice and tall. You could never go wrong with the windmill palm it being a cold hardy palm tree so you wouldn't have anything to worry about when the cold temperature comes along. You should definitely start off by buying some palm tree just for the fact that actually growing them might take you a longer time than actually placing a palm tree that is already grown.

Default Las Vegas

I say you go ahead and start growing palm trees. Palm trees honestly make any scenery look nice and especially where you are living is a great place to start. I would have to agree with home runner and grow the palm trees he suggested. You would want to grow some cold hardy palm just for the mere fact that they could withstand the cold. My parents have a house in Nevada and have cabbage palms which are cold hardy palms. Good luck to you

Default Las vegas palmer

From what I've been told, Las Vegas is a good place to grow and sell palm trees. If you have the space and connections to do so I say you go ahead and do it. Believe it or not Palm trees are in high demand and people constantly want these exotic looking trees in their home or business. It's definitely a good route to go. Try getting some windmail, canary, California, royal, and sylvester palms. These are the most popular palms so you might want to go ahead with these first. Good luck in your new business venture!

I would love to know how your business start up is going. Have you started growing your palms? It would be great to find out what you have learned so far and maybe see some photos of your palm tree project in action! Have you found any good places to buy palm trees at wholesale prices? You have me interested in finding out more!
