Looking for palm trees that grow here? They were on the Bachelor?
HEre is the link below to the other posting I did to find out what palms they were.
Live in Seattle Washington, Palm Trees for Seattle?
and below is what I wrote...
Ok so I have been watching The Bachelor, the latest season, and the first house he went to go visit with Chantelle was beautiful. There were palm trees lining the outside of the parents home and they were beautiful. There was at least about 12 palm trees there about 10 to 15 feet tall and they seemed to be growing there very well. They were green and perfect. So my question is what palm trees were these. I want them very badly. So I guess if there was a list of palm trees that were suitable for My area I could look up some photos of the palm trees and matched them up since I tivo's the show.
Thanks for your help. I am not sure how to describe the palm, they had brown hairy trunk.

The only palm trees would have to be able to live in snow
I dont know to many palm trees that can live in the snow. I have seen some palm trees here to, but never really thought about having palm trees.
I have a question about indoor palm trees, which ones do best indoors? I want to liven up my home and clean out the air and the only natural way of doing that is by plants and trees. I am new to this forum and wouldn't mind getting some palm trees. Any ideas?

Palms in a Bakery?
I own a bakery in the Spokane area and I am considering putting some palm trees in to add for better air quality, and spruce up the decor, what I'm looking for is something that will be low maitnance and hard to kill, because it gets pretty crazy busy and a lot of the time the plants get forgotten about and die. Is there and indoor palm tree that you can recomend. Waht can you tell me about the majesty palm or the cat palm tree.

The Cat Palm is better than the Majesty. Majestys tend to turn yellow if not properly watered. The narually grown on river bank so they a lot more water than other palms, so I only recommend Majestys to be planted outside.
Kentias, Fishtail, ,Golden Canes (aka Areca or Butterfly), even Baby Queens will all do fine inside in Washington, just remember that you are only keeping them inside because of your winter tempature, not because they dont need light. None of the mentioned palms require direct light, just make sure to keep them where your brightest indirect light can be found.
Also, you will not need to water more than any other plant, but dont let their roots dry out, and when you do water you need to make sure the water flushes out the bottom of the pots.
