Default Very hard to tell what palm this is.

I would want to say it is a stunted fully matured California Fan palm. It also may be a hybrid of two different fan palms. But it is hard to tell.

Stunted because of the container it is grown in. It is very small. It is also fully mature.

Guadalupe Fan Palm (Brahea edulis), mini look alike of the mex fan Palm

These stunning palms have a very slow growth rate making them a good choice where height may be a concern.

They can range in height from a couple of feet(24" box) to over 15'(mature).

These palms are native to Guadalupe Island off the coast of Baja, California.

Default Really easy to gerinate 2 months

Wait until seeds turn color and start to fall before harvesting these grow just as easy as the Mexican Fan Palms Good Luck You'll Be Stoked as seedlings you can manipulate the trunk for awsome curves when the palm Matures due to the fact that these trees will not get top heavy from growing to tall.

thanks again ....i have some seeds right now that have fallen from a year before ....I soaked them, removed the outer coat. What now? ....I use the paper towel method for most seeds ...but I think if they take 3-6 months to germinate this is going to be a problem .....

should i just put them in some pots and wait for them to grow ...or should i take the time to keep them warm etc ...?

Cool Plastic Container method

I use 5 inch square plastic Liners placing the seed on top of the soil half way submerged "not completly" then place the liners inside a plastic tupaware container bins. Making sure the seeds are kept moist. Thens it's just a waiting game. the good thing about doing it this way the seed spouts in the media that it will be grown in.After Germination cover seed with soil or sand half as deep as the seed.

Default Soak them no longer than 2 days

place seeds in small poting container with media of your choice "Good Draining" and keep moist. by useing a Large tupaware storage container that not only holds the moister but acts as a minature green house. Make sure to keep seeds moist and warm 80-100 degrees When seeds germinate cover them half as deep as the seed is wide in sand ,soil ,moss your pick or a compination.
