Default Are these sylvesters?

Hi
I bought these at a local hardware store as queen palms, I know they are not queens, are they sylvester dates?

Thanks

Exclamation Sylvester Date Palm (Phoenix sylvestris)

I think your right but if not ...a Canary Island would be my second guess definatly in the pheonix Family though. I have only seen 2 Sylvester Date Palms growing in san deigo both at the San Diego Zoo cool palm kind of want one now. Im going to keep my eye out for one for my collection

Thanks

Thanks

The hair like brown material in the base is throwing me. I was hoping for cocoa palms, the leaves seem really long for a sylvester, but I am not experienced with either cocoas or sylvesters of this age.

Default Sylvester Date Palm

Yes you are both right it is a Silver Date Palm. Definitely not a queen palm. How much did you buy them for. I cant believe they labeled them a queen palm, it looks nothing like a queen palm.

Default I dont see the pictures of the palm trees but

It is really easy to tell the difference between a queen and a silver date. You should go back to the person who told you they weren't and be like ..... Well I don't know what you could do ha but good Buy.
