Overpruned Palm Trees - will they be ok?

I've had a new gardener start this week and he overpruned one of my Pindo palms and a good number of Phoenix roebelenii. Now they look sorta like this (not actual photo):



Will they be ok? Will they go back to normal? I nearly fell over backwards when I got home.. this brought tears to my eyes. I'm furious! Is there anything I can do to help them recover?

I prune mine even higher than that every couple months so it don't have to do it as often... They will be completely fine, I actually think they look better manicured like that.
