Silver Date Palm Trees hurt by cold

I had the temp get down to 29 degrees. Only minor damages occurred on the leaves but I was wondering what I can do to protect it from future frosts or from progressive damage from the current damages that have occurred on the leaves....I hope I am making sense.... any advice?

The palm should be ok if you throw a large sheet over it but if its large id wrap the leaves up (tie them up first) in burlap untill danger has past but if the palm seems fried (all brown) anytime soon just remove the dead fronds in danger past temps and it will sprout new fresh green growth! (or silver hehehe)
