Default New Variegated Palm! I must share!

Hey Everyone! I picked up some new variegated palms for my collection that I am extremely excited about!

If you don't know by now, I LOVE variegated palm! and the newest member to my variegated collection is.....

Drum roll please .................

A variegated Wodyetia bifurcata, aka: Foxtail Palm!

I never knew you could do a variegation on palm trees, let alone a foxtail palm. Very very cool!

Ya it happens, but it's extremely rare.

There is over a 1 in a million chance of getting a variegated baby from a green tree, and only about a 1 in a thousand chance from a variegated mother tree, needless to say they are far and few between.

very neat and interesting information Surfcity! I live in Houston and tried to variegate different species with my wife, but mainly flowers like the hibiscus...

Exclamation What are some exotic palm trees?

I heard that its hard to grow exotic palm trees because they are tropical, is that true?
