Default Banana Palm Browning?

Any reasons for my banana palm browning? Expert opinions preferred.
I don't live in a cold area and it hasn't been cold for a while.(summer) and its been getting plenty of sun and water from the rain. Soil is good and well draining. Any ideas why?

Smile browing...

DO NOT cut those beautiful leaves. What is happening is normal. The oldest leaves will yellow and die. The plant is going through some transplant shock and will probably establish itself quickly. You should have a new leaf in a week or two, maybe three at the longest.

From your writing I thought the plant's leaves were broken and bruised, but whoever you got your plant from did a very decent job and gave you a good bare-rooted plant.

Enjoy your banana plant and may it bloom and prosper and perhaps bear you fruit.

Default I bought a japanese fiber banana palm

I am extremely excited for its arrival, I hear that they withstand the cold and that you could chop them in half and it would still continue to grow. I am not the green thumb i want to be, but I do like bananas!

Default It arrived this morning!

Looks great but the leaves are sagging a bit, I read that it might be because of the water within its leaves has dissipated. I drenched it in water and placed it out on the porch...
