Exclamation Few windmill palms White Spots

I have a few windmill palms that have little white scales or spots or some kind of infection growing on each spear or on the stems. I will take a few photos soon but if anyone knows what it is or how to get rid of them it will be a great help. I have used i fungicide but it doesn't seem to work. When i rub the white spot off it has a dark yellow oil residue that comes off of it. Will this hurt my windmill palms? It seems to be only on the windmill palm trees but I have one king palm and it has white spots but with a black middle center. They are a little more coarse to the touch. I will put up a few photos to see if anyone can help.

Any clues for now will help me to do research. Thanks

Henry

Exclamation White Scale

Palm leaf scales are very difficult to get rid of but it can be done. Typical treatment for palm scale is to repeatedly spray the palm tree leaves with horticultural oil or a mixture of equal parts rubbing alcohol and water mixed with some dish soap. If you have the patience, you can paint straight rubbing alcohol onto each scale individually. Good luck If left alone scales will slowly kill the tree.

Default Try asking some palm nurseries.

I am sure if you have them, they have had them once too. They will know what to do. They may even give you a little something to fix it. If they are nice enough. where are the pics, It will be nice to see what your talking about.
