Default Waggie Palm

I guess no one has a waggie palm? I would like a small one footer. I think they have some on here but a little to out of my price range. we'll see though. I might just do it just for the fact that at least I will know it is a waggie palm and not a windmill or other type species.

Default Waggie Palm Miniature Chusan Palm

Good Luck Guys, These species are hard to find. And if some one has one or two I bet they are not willing to trade. That is just my opinion. But if you do find some one let me know. I might just take a few.

Default Thats not half that bad.

I know they are a bit expensive. Even at wholesale they cost 20 per 3 gallon and they are only 1 foot tall. SO for a 4 ft waggie. Thats really good for 65. I might be interested as well.

wow, I need to check my threads a bit more often..sorry for the late response. I can get a few pictures up. They are just starting to push their second or third true waggie leaves. I am interested in cold hardy and indoor palms, but pretty much anything I can grow in a 10 foot high greenhouse I like.

Default I have let see in one gallon palms

I have a few Blue Latanias like 10, I just got from a trade. That are beautiful. Bright red stems when they are young then look like a bismarck when they mature. I have punches of 1 gallon pygmy dates that are about 2 feet tall. I also have some bottle palm that are about 1 ft tall. They are in cones....

I would love to try a hyphorbe but are they the lagenicaulis or the vershaffeltii? I fear that all of the palms mentioned will just barely make it in unheated greenhouse here with the Bottle palm and the latanias being very unhappy with my complete lack of heat. Do you think either of them can deal with temps between 35-55 and grey skys for three months? I am so enchanted by both the Latania and the bottle that I may just have to baby both and send them down south when they get too big.

They would need to be able to deal with an unheated leanto on the south side of my house, which is still no where near what I experienced in coastal houston. You subtropical atlantic folk have some truly insane moisture and heat.

How many waggies would you want to trade for, or are there others that you might have an eye out for?

Default hyphorbe lagenicaulis

They would do well in your green house and when it gets cold just place it indoors and you will 0 problems. I have one indoors by my window and it is doing great. Also the Latanias would do great doing the same thing. Placing them indoors for the cold winters. That is what I do with the more tropical palms I have. I have one Lisptick Palm that I bring in indoors as soon as temps start to go below 55 degrees. They dont seem to like temps going below 50. It kills them.

What other palms do you have. I like rare ones. Also I would like to see them first. I will post a pic up of my one gallons so you can see.

I would be open to send you a palm first and seeing if you like it, then you could send what you feel is fair. I don't have any crazy rare palms that I am willing to trade and most are smaller but I do have some cold hardy ones. I have Purple kings seedlings, Illwara king seedlings, larger trunking Chameadorea radicalis, Butia eriospatha seedlings, rhapis excelsa, Chameorps humilis cerifera seedlings, trachycarpus khasia hills seedlings. I have some others like Jubaea and Parajubaea as well as some Ensente(banana) just sprouted, but most may languish with your humidity. feel free to yell out any others that I did not list that you may be interested in as well.
