Default Needle Palm (Scary)

Sounds a bit scary to me. I still cant imagine what needles would look like on a trunk. I suppose I can just look on here to see if they have them or google it to see a photo. Do you have a photo by chance?

How cold hardy is the needle palm?

Default Rhapidophyllum hystrix Needle Palm

Very interesting. I do have a windmill if you would like to trade. It is about 4 to 5 feet over all. . .

Needle Palms are very cold hardy. And your right they can resist temperatures down to 20 degrees F.

Default picture of the windmill palm

Yes I am going to take a picture of the windmill palm now. Its dark but its the only time I have available. I would really like to see the needle palm as well. I have another small palm I can add to the trade. I think its a canary but its small I germinated it from some seeds I got from a tree. I have few other ones too. I see that jimmyg wanted and had the same thing I am trading you on the canary island date trade thread. Its to bad you do not have two needle palms...

Thumbs up Windmill Palm Pictures

Here are some photos of the windmill palms I will trade. I have some more that are a bit nicer. I was in a hurry. All you do, to add a picture is click on the attachments button and then upload the picture then close out. It should be loaded and then you can preview to see what it will look like.

I will pay for shipping, if you pay for yours....

Default I will send windmill in original container

It doesn't change the cost much. I would rather you receive a healthy non-damaged palm. The Needle Palm is Nice but I was expecting it to be a little larger. Still works though. How bout I send you a windmill and maybe some seedlings of another species, sending you two boxes is going to cost lots of dinero. . . . What do you think.

Default Sorry for the wait.

Been busy. Yeah Sounds great, I will pay for mine and you can pay for yours i suppose. Also yes that would be great if you shipped in pot. I wonder of some of the needles will return. I kind of like the needle look you know... But its ok. Can you make sure when you do send it, to some how strap it down to make sure if it is turned over the pot wont slide and break the leaves (stems). Also if you could wrap the pot in a bag. I will do the same. This way if the box is flipped or thrown around the palm will not be damaged and soil will not be everywhere too. How tall would you say the needle palm is?
