Default Lipstick palm that isn't showing her true color

I recently purchased a lipstick palm (3 ft) from RPT but it doesn't have the red hue to the stems that made it so desirable and me want to add it to my collection. It seems happy and thriving in the large pot on my patio. It has new shoots lots of green color but no red. Same with the flame thrower from RPT-- no sign of that red frond. I'm in Florida just north of the RPT nursery. Similar climate. What do they need? Nutrients? More/less water? sunlight?

Thanks for any advice. I'm willing to do what it takes, knew going in this was a project but starting to think the extra expense for these exotics isn't going to pay off.
