Palm trees for tanning salon

i own a tanning salon and i am currently remodling it and i was interested in putting some palm trees in the salon to give it a more tropical atmosphere to the cusotmers. What type of palm tree would best survive in indoors?

Hey EZ.

Ez, there are a select few palm trees that will do well inside. how many palms are looking to buy?

jwmeyer August 23rd, 2008 08:23 PM

hey

i am looking to buy prob 3 or 4 i really am not sure yet until the painting and furniture is put in due to space. i certainly dont want something huge but something that would give it just that right touch of a tropical atmosphere but also not overwhelming when people come in?

hmmm

any pics of the salon? how tall are your ceilings? I think the Areca or butterfly palm would do well also the bamboo palm tree. lets see cardboard palms do ok as well but don't look as nice. let me see what else. get back to me with that info...

re

well i dont have any pics with me at the current moment but the ceilings are about 10ft high maybe a little more. i looked at both palms and i liked both. i am leaning more towards the bamboo but like i said i will have to see when the painting is complete and the furniture is put in to see which one would go best. any one that you think would be a better idea? also what maintenance is needed to keep these palms alive?

Bamboo Palm

For easier maintenance i would go with the bamboo aswell, they need less attention and lighting.
good luck, show us some pics when it is done or when you get your bamboo palm tree

yes

there is always some sort of maintenance for any palm tree that you buy. Also what colors did you decide to use in your room, and try to complement them with the palm tree.

First of all, you must decide whether palm trees are suitable for the theme and style of your salon. Because palms can create a tropical atmosphere, but destroy the whole style and beauty of your salon. You also need to take into account the size of your space and ease of movement in the presence of palm trees. I have another tip that does not apply to palm trees, but to business. Recently, I bought a special software for a beauty salon on www.beautyprosoftware.com and now I don't understand how I lived without it before. Check it out and maybe you will need it too.
