Question How to plant a windmill palm by the pool

I just moved south - from the cold north!! So excited to get my first 2 Windmill palm trees! I'm hoping to plant them by my inground pool. They are currently about 4' high and I understand they can grow up to a foot a year. My concern is planting them too close to my vinyl lined pool - can the roots grow "into" it? How far away from the pool should I actually plant them? When is the best time to plant them? We've been having 50 degree weather - but there is still a chance of snow that could happen this winter! THey will be in full sunlight (no partial shade in my yard) and we are hoping to get more trees next year or this summer. I'd really love to have them planted by the entrance to my pool - which is about 1-2 feet away from the side of the pool. Also - should I be watering them daily - I've read conflicting things about that - and how should I prune any palms that are yellowing?? I appreciate your help!
