Small Office Palms buying
Hello hows it going, I wanted to know if I could purchase some palms for my office. Will palms survive and how big will they grow? What is the growth rate? What kind of lighting would I need. I live in Augusta and have a small office that I would like to make tropical, any ideas on different types of palms?

Attention!
The winter time is coming up and I would like to know what palm tree would be best to grow inside a home and outside when the temperature allows it to be.

The Areca Palm is one of the most popular and graceful palms & is tolerant to indoor environments. Additionally, the Areca is consistently rated among the best houseplants for removing all indoor air toxins tested. However Areca's will not do well in dimly lit corners & without adequate light you will eventually lose your lower fronds. Semi-Sun is just perfect for this Palm & it's a good idea to keep these guys Nourished, especially in spring & summer. In other words water them as soon as their soil feels dry a little below the surface & you'll be in good hands! Hope this helped :]

Metallica Palms R great for inside. I have a baby pup Ive been growing inside my living area next to a window I water every 2 or 3 days its growing slow but consistent they are really spectacular looking I have never seen another palm tree like it they have these long spiney (not prickly) sticks that that hold up the leaves like a canopy. Check them out they are neat!!

Depending on the Type of Palm you decide on. Some do not grow as tall as others. I would ask the Palm Huggers for a good rec. They recommended the metallica palm for me and I have mine indoors as well.

Keeping my indoor palms alive
is there some type of fertilizer I would use when bringing in my palms for the winter. I have a them outside on my wooden terrace during the small summer months but after winter they look stragely, if thats even a word, but yes, I spend the summer months recooperating them and I would rather want them green year round. I read on the palm blog that they need extra indoor lighting but it doesnt go over what type of lighting other than grow lighting. Is there a specific spectrum of lighting? please help.
