Do bromeliads grow on trees?

I was wondering if Bromeliads grow on trees. I know there are some Air Plants and some that are air plants are bromeliads. I wanted to know what species can do this? Or can all bromeliads grow with little to no soil? Would have to tie it to the palm tree?

I've seen it.

I have a local nursery the specializes in tropicals. The put any of their smaller sun bromeliads on the trunks of their Giant fishtails (Caryota Gigas) and their Pati Queens (Syagrus botryophora). After they cut an old palm leaf off, they put a bromeliad between the remaining leaf and the trunk of the tree. I'm not sure if they add any soil or water it at all, but it does look cool.

I hope this helps. if you want to call them you can Google their name, "Tropical Vibe".
