Fiji fan palm...
I got it a while back and I wanted to know if this would be consider a rare palm tree?

Yes it is considered a RARE palm tree

I would also consider it a rare palm tree
Fiji Fan palms are not as distinguished as the rest of the palm trees, it is not sold in huge amounts and therefore cost more since they are not sold in volume, know what i mean  .

They are definately cool looking palm trees..
Do you have any pictures of it and where did you place it? I heard they are real finnicky? Is that true?
Something to do with constant yellowing and fertilizer..

They said exotic and very very slow growing...

Yes they are considered some what rare.
Like the Ruffled Fan palm, both are hard to find. But if you do find them, They are keepers and they do take up a bit more maintenance but worth it.

I had one, But I moved and left it at the house i was living in. I was a bit sad, but im on the look for another one. any clues?

I also like ruffled fan palm.. but they are to expensive!
I went to my local nursery to pick one up and they wanted to charge me 240 dollars for a 2 ft palm... I couldnt believe it...

I bought a fiji for about 300 one time so 200 is not so bad.
It all depends on the quality of the specimen. It's like a ferrari or a chrysler. SUre they both get the job done but which one looks better and was made better.
