Default how do i keep my palm trees from tipping over if they are in a pot

I tried digging a hole but the wind still blows them over. I tried putting weights inside the pot, that didn't work. I feel like I'm going to have to make like a bike rack of some sort so I can tie them to the side and anchor the siding into to ground. UGH. Any suggestions?

Default palm trees from tipping over if they are in a pot

Well I kind of had this problem, but it was a easy fix. It depends on is you are trying to keep many pots form tipping over or just one. You should try to stick an iron rod or two poles through the side of the palm along side the pot. You can also make small holes in the pot towards the top and then tie string to them and anchor with some sort of steak. If you have many pots, you can place two rods on opposite ends and tie a string to each pole making a fence sort of thing. then you can just plac them along the strings and tie them down to the strings. This probably doesn't make to much sense. Ill try to explain a little better.

Get two peices of wood or buy your self two iron rods. Place the iron rod about two to three feet in to the ground, making sure it will not move. You may add cement to the rod or wood to anchor it into the ground. Tie rope on one end and bring the other end the other rod making sure it is as tight as can be. this is going to act like a fence. You do this multiple time in order to make sure your palm trees will not fall over. Once you are finished witht hat you can tie the palm trees to the fence.

Hope that explains it a little better. It worked for me. HA
