Default What is happening to my Foxtail leaves?

Hey all, just trying to figure out what is happening to the fronds of my Foxtail palms. It would appear as though something is eating the leaves; unless this condition is normal for Foxtail palms. All leaves emerge this way once the frond shoot opens. I have never seen any pests on the palms, with the exception of mealy bugs which I promptly remove. I have seen other Foxtails in my area and their leaves/fronds are very long, smooth and pointed; not "chewed up." I have attached a picture for reference.
