Need help with building a deck and wanted use some palm trees, any ideas?

I wanted to wrap a deck outside around my home and wanted to know some cool ideas from anyone about what palm trees I could use and what type of decking should I use?

Thats actually not a palm tree... its a Dracaena Plant

It looks like its having a hard time where its at....Is it getting watered regularly? Is the dracaena near an air vent where ac is blowing on it? Are the leaves touching a hot surface? Hows the soil...

Yeah like california said...

Dont worry about it... transitions are hard for people and just as hard for plants.. and yes the soil should be dry before watering again, only real tropical jungle like palms should be watered...

lol, I did the same thing a couple of years ago...

It wasnt the same product but it was an insect killer and after spraying down some of my plants they all started browning. I should have sprayed an area first before spraying the insect killer...

maybe just take out the soil

And put new soil in and around the pygmy date. maybe the soil has 0 nutrients and just needs some fertilizer like loverofpalms said. And I am pretty sure the white gunk is natural for every new spear...

Bellow I attached some pictures of the Cork Screw Palm the seed pic that you have is of ripened seeds. Some people call it the pine, however its a tropical tree...just FYI.
