Lipstick Palm Tree: Small - I would recommend (Posted on 3/10/16)

I looked everywhere for this palm and ordered one from a company on eBay. The eBay one was about 50 dollars cheaper but when it arrived, it looked ghastly. As if it had been driven through a carwash then driven on the passenger seat through the arizona desert! This company sent a beautiful lipstick palm and it was fresh. The kit that they give you could use some improvements and possibly some diagrams would be great. The only negative thing I have to say about this palm is its price tag. It's an expensive investment, so unless you love palms, it might be better off trying another palm before the lipstick palm. I received my palm last monday and it looks great. I have it near a window and have a planter that has a drip pan to keep the soil moist, especially since I am going out of town for almost two weeks. So I might be making an update to this if something happens to my beautiful palm while I am gone. (Posted on 1/29/16)

I am in the middle with my review. I really do love my palm tree. The presentation that was provided was sub-par. I expected the lisptick palm tree to have a little more flare to the packaging given the price. The box was a little beat up. The palm tree was in great health for roughly 3 months. I had this tree inside an outside so I do not blame realpalmtrees and more of my negligence into looking into the culture of this particular tree. I noticed the tree is very needy and very tolerable of stress. I believe I was self inflicting stress on the palm tree and that is why the bottom leaves and 1 Stalk ended up dying. The other taller half is doing fine once I placed the palm tree outdoors only and with a humidity tray and with lots of waterings. I was trying to find this palm for a very long time and I am glad I went with this company however with the price I pay I wish I knew a little bit more of the palm tree once I recieved the palm. I would order again and I may just call to recommend that they may do that in the future by providing more information on a particular type of palm. I first saw these at the Hilton on the big island of Oahu and needless to say, developed a large crush on these palms! The way the resort lit them up,....gorgeous!

With that said, I ordered one about a month ago and its still doing phenomenal! So much, that my wife forced me to get another one, so she can have mine in her office.

Pros.... sultry type palm, amazing to look at, and definitely a statement piece.

Cons... High cost, especially if you forget to water them for a week. Say goodbye to green fronds and start welcoming the yellow :).

I live in Naples Florida. I ordered my tree and it arrived in 3 days. Not Back. The tree was a little less dense then expected but definitely worth it. I have been looking for this tree for a while as well. (Posted on 12/9/14)

This small tree is so cool. I wish I knew how this tree got red stalks. They look so awesome. Can you imagine a red landscape. I definetely want one of these Trees. They must be really rare.
