very nice - though very root bound to the pot. wish it wasn't so hard to remove from the container. my european palm tree is doing fine. You would have to have lots of light indoors for this palm tree to grow with out any problems. Does much better in outside if you live in California. They arrive healthy at least and come with an instruction kit with info on where these guys like to grow and how to transplant them properly etc. pretty fast service mine arrived within the week.

I placed my european fan palm, over here they call it meditterean fan palm, I placed it around my outdoor jacuzzi. Its like 5 degrees outside and the palm is doing great. I noticed the steam coming from the hot tub browned some of the tip of the leaves, so just be cautious on where you place it. (Posted on 1/8/16)

I bought this palm like 6 months ago and finally getting to review it, since I am buying a windmill palm. Wanted to give everyone a heads up before purchasing the european fan palm. It's a clump grower, meaning that it will continually produce sucklings, or new palm trees, on the side of the trunk and rootbase. I am an avid gardener and wanted a solitary palm, as pictured, but I noticed that I have to continually trim back the new palms that want to grow . So if your looking for something cold hardy and clumping type, this is the palm for you.

I have chosen to remove it from its original spot in the garden and just purchased a windmill palm in its place. Also, on this next order, I am adding extra root stimulator to my order for my other plants. Its worth the extra 7 dollars in my opinion, cause normally its 20 dollars if ordered separate.
