This is a beautiful species of palm. I recommend getting it here since they always come so nice and green. They use this root stimulator stuff that works like magic. Just sprinkle some of that stuff into the pot when your about to transplant and you will not have any problems if your thumb is not green. (Mine sure isn't) The other thing i really like is when i order a 3 ft thats what i get, I haven't seen any other company that gives me the option of plant height like this place does. My fishtail palm is not getting any taller, its like its stunted. I thought over the summer it would have grown a foot or so. I placed it near the breakfast nook which is exposed to direct sunlight for about 10 hours a day. I dont know if its healthy or not since its not grown but an inch. The leaves are still green and still the same ones from 3 months ago. Since the palm wasnt tall enough I have to buy another one at least 5 feet tall in order to provide a back splash of color and privacy needed. The breakfast nook is exposed to main street so its growth was important to me. (Posted on 11/11/15)

I bring this palm tree indoors in winter and it does very well for the whole winter and then I bring the palm outside in spring and it does well outdoors. Very COOL! (Posted on 10/18/11)
