The key thatch palm is an endangered species in the Keys, and when I took a trolley tour of key west they said it was a crime to damage any of the key west thatch palms. I was excited to see that I can order them online and that they can survive in my area. The box it came in was large, imagine a 6ft box arriving at your doorstep or being left at your doorstep. I ordered this palm last year as I live in Key west florida and saw these on Duval street I wanted to know the name of them and found out they are very rare and went online and found this site that sells them. I started with a small key thatch to see how they delivered and just went with a medium last week I am giving the small to my folks and keeping the medium for myself. It has arrived green and packaged so well it makes no mess and the delivery time is 4 days. I couldnt be happier I even took a picture of it and sent to the customer service people who answer the phones. they have everytype of palm tree and have been very helpful in answering my questions on proper care for this palm thank you all so very much. Palm Tree is really Nice but the tree was costly. I think I could have done the same effect I went with the Bismarck Palm. I guess it depends on the height of the tree you want the maximum height to grow to. (Posted on 8/13/15)

I purchase this palm in May 2014 it's November and I live in New Jersey I never see a palm trees survive in the cold. Is a great purchase if you live in the cold. Thank you to these company who ship right a way (Posted on 11/26/14)
